The Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team, (SERT/SWAT) is a tactical team of sheriff’s deputies who are on call 24/7. The team is highly trained in tactical responses for high-risk or emergency situations. SERT utilizations can include hostage situations, barricaded subjects, high-risk warrant services, escapes, fugitive apprehensions, mass arrests, high-risk transportation, woodland operations and search warrant executions. The team is aided in the performance of their duties with the use of a robot, several drones, K-9, night vision capabilities, ballistic shields, and armored vehicles.
