Irene Frye was reported missing on February 15, 2025. She was last seen at approximately 8:10 a.m. that morning walking in the area of Burke Road and College Avenue in Shelby, North Carolina.
Ms. Frye is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds. She has medium-length brown hair and blue eyes. She has dentures and may use a cane when walking. Ms. Frye has been diagnosed with multiple cognitive impairments and may have been attempting to find a ride to Tennessee.

Asha Degree
Last Seen: February 14, 2000
On February 14, 2000, 9-year old Asha Degree left her home in Shelby, NC in the middle of the night and disappeared. Asha`s family last saw her asleep in her bedroom around 2:30 am. An hour and a half later, she was seen by drivers walking along NC Highway 18 in Shelby, NC. Her parents reported her missing by 6:30 am. More than a year later, Asha`s book bag was discovered buried along NC Highway 18 in Burke County.
