Court security is an essential function of the Sheriff's Office.
This department is comprised of a Lieutenant and three full-time court officers, along with several part-time officers.
These officers maintain the security of the courtrooms by serving as bailiffs during court sessions. They are also responsible for serving warrants, manning the X-ray machine and metal detectors, which are located at the front door of the courthouse.
Officers must also monitor security cameras, which are located in various areas inside and outside of the facility. These officers are professional and highly trained in the area of court security to handle situations that arise.
